PANDEMIC IN THE TRAVELOGUE SAFARNAMAH I MIRZA HUSAYN FARAHANI BY MOHAMMAD HOSAYN AL-FARAHANI

A travelogue is an important medium that provides a portrayal of society because it records the reality travellers experience when exploring location. The purpose this study to conduct preliminary review pertaining pandemic in Mecca was recorded Persian entitled Safarnamah-ʼi Mirza Husayn Farahani: Qasqazih, ʻUthmani, Makkah, 1302–1303 Hijri Qamari or English translated as Shiite Pilgrimage 1885–1886: Safarnameh Mohammad Hosayn al-Farahani. This used qualitative method by conducting content analysis corpus based on thematic method. generated new themes, namely societal norms Hajj pilgrims, local people Mecca, and authorities while facing Mecca. results show serves depicts situations pilgrims well prevention measures implemented they faced some time ago. Therefore, one crucial post-pandemic sources reference information about sociology lives previous society, especially during outbreak. It hoped translation Islamic travelogues will be carried out actively due their potential provide immense benefits not only field literature but also various other fields.
